What is Simply...Challenging?

In brief, Simply...Challenging is my challenge blog. Here, I'm only listing the reading (and 1 writing) challenges I am/have taken part in, as well as book lists for each. My reviews are posted at Goodreads. Yes, it seems weird, but right now, it works for me. ;)

Writing Diary #2: January 2012

Perpetual
500 Words a Day Challenge is a writing challenge conceived by Inkygirl (aka Debbie Ridpath Ohi), a Toronto-based writer and illustrator of children's book.  The challenge is simple: try to write 500 words a day, 6 days a week.  It could be the novel you're working on, a blog post, a review, outlining, or anything, as long as you're writing.  There is also a 250 Words a Day Challenge and a 1000 Words a Day Challenge

Since this a personal challenge (i.e. every writer decides how and when to "spend" their daily limit), I'm going to track my efforts with a monthly challenge log.  Each day I'll note my word count and what I did to earn it.  Hopefully this will keep me on track.  Initially I was going to attempt the 1000 Words a Day Challenge, but I figure I'll start small and see how it goes.  I'm more than positive I can write 500 words a day, but 1000 might be tricky.
